Character Animation Showreel

My showreel was last updated October 2010.
All animation by Tim Storrow. Music: William Tell Overture, by Rossini (Royalty Free).

Treadmill

I created a short animation based on an overconfident power walker trying out a treadmill for the first time. I wanted to practise animating a female character and improve my working speed.
Directed and Animated by Tim Storrow. Andy Rig Created by John Doublestein

Idle Animations

In August 2010 I did a two week work placement at the computer games company, DR Studios, where I created and animated a low poly character for use in the demo version of the studios current game (not yet released). I produced a series of idle animations including looks, crossing legs and arms and breathing loops. The video shows a selection of the animations.

The Power of Television

For this animation I wanted the performance to feel genuine as well as improve my lipsync skills.
Character created by James Hunt. Animation by Tim Storrow. Sound from Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (Season 3 Ep. 14, Tempus, Anyone? Originally aired Jan 1996).

The Two Little Kids

This was my final year project of uni. It is an animated vignette telling the story of a young boy out seeking adventure, but finding a goat. The film has been created in Maya although it is influenced by all medias of animation, especially stop motion and cut-out. A documentary following the making of this film can be viewed on my Third Year Blog.

Directed and Animated by Tim Storrow. Modeling by Susan Bell, Joe Cornell, Matt Evans & Tim Storrow. Rigging by Matt Evans & Jermaine Yip. Storyboard Drawn by James Roy. Texturing and Lighting by Tim Storrow. Music: William Tell Overture, by Rossini (Royalty Free). Special Thanks to my family, friends and tutors for their support.

Bath Time

This is a second year joint character animation project between Susan Bell and myself. A Honey Bear loses his paper boat down the plug hole after his bath. However, when he reaches down to get it he discovers a sewer dwelling Lizard has already found it.

The whole animation is not yet currently available to view online, but I have uploaded a few clips from it.

Directed by Susan Bell and Tim Storrow. Music: Florida Suite, pt III. Sunset, by Delius.

Victorian Set Design

This was my first project using Maya, we were asked to build a set and take a camera through it. I designed a Victorian explorers study.

Music composed by Khachaturian.

Little Red Ridding Hood

First Year University Project to develop a narrative based on the story of Little Red Riding Hood (title pun intended). This was my first attempt at creating a short film and my first time animating puppets. Although the animation is basic I think the story is a lot of fun and I greatly enjoyed making it.

Directed and Produced by Tim Storrow. Costume Assistant Joan Storrow. Set Assistant Alan Storrow. Music: It's A Wonderful World Medley, by The Black And White Minstrels.

Swan Flight

Part of my first year summer Swan project. I wanted to try the more traditional methods of cut-out animation before learning the likes of After Effects.
